3 Easy DIY Christmas Cards in Watercolor

In this post, I will show you three easy DIY Christmas Cards you can paint this season. They are very simple even if you are a beginner watercolorist.

By far my favorite time of the year is Christmas and New Year season. I remember as a kid I loved playing in the snow for hours — making a snowman, throwing snow balls at each other, and slay riding down the hill. Although I live where it doesn’t snow in the winter time, painting winter scenes takes me back to my fond memories of the my childhood snowy wonderland.

How to Paint a Little Red Vintage Car Greeting Card

In this tutorial, I will show you how to paint a little red vintage car with a Christmas tree on the blank watercolor card. These cards are 3-1/2″ by 4-7/8″ watercolor stock, and they come with white envelopes. You can purchase them in many art stores or you can always make your own cards out of any watercolor paper.

How to Paint a Penguin Greeting Card

This is a simple tutorial where I should you how to paint a holiday penguin on a blank watercolor card. You can use a pre-made greeting cards (sizes 3-1/2″ by 4-7/8″) or cut the card yourself from any watercolor paper. I recommend to using a good quality paper if possible.

How to Paint a Winter City Greeting Card

In this tutorial, I show you how to create a DIY Greeting Card for this holiday season. For this DIY card, I decided to paint a scene of colorful houses in a winter city. First, I show you how I draw the houses inspired by Northern Europe. Second, I show you how I paint this winter scene on a blank watercolor card. The card size is 3-1/2″ by 4-7/8″.
