It’s Valentine’s Day! Almost… and there’s no time to get a card. No problem, this DIY card is super easy to make, and wait… it’s cute.
Materials:
- Thick paper or pre-made blank greeting cards
- Colored feathers
- Toothpick
- Red watercolor paint and watercolor scrap paper
- Gold wire
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
1. Fold some thick paper in half or use a blank pre-made card by Recollections (sold at Michael’s).
2. Write your message on the card. You can also write a message inside the card. I wrote “be mine” on the front in black ink and “Valentine” inside the card in gold ink.
3. Paint some small red hearts on some watercolor scrap paper.
4. Cut the hearts with scissors.
5. Hot glue your feather (or two small feathers) to the toothpick.
6. Wrap your gold wire around the feathers, this will add some gold decor element to your heart arrow.
7. Hot glue the arrow to the card above your greeting message. Voila! You are done!
Wasn’t it easy? And yes, if you’re wondering, eat your chocolate candy after making the card or you’ll need to explain to your lover the purpose of some chocolate smudges on the card. 🙂
XOXO
